Industrial Water Treatment
Klean Water provides world-class commercially proven water treatment technologies & solutions for the oil & gas, mining and municipal sectors. On an industrial site, that translates into a single practical question: can the water leaving your process be turned back into water your process can use?
The three functions of the technology
Klean Water units separate hydrocarbons from industrial wastewater, which recovers product and protects every downstream treatment stage from fouling. They purify wastewater so it can be recycled and reused in-process, which is the step that changes a plant's water balance rather than just its compliance paperwork. And they desalinate, which matters wherever salinity rises through repeated reuse or arrives with the source water itself.
Why recycling beats disposal
Treating wastewater only to discharge it pays twice: once for treatment and again for fresh intake. Recycling converts that cost into a loop. Reused process water reduces abstraction, reduces trucked or piped supply, reduces effluent volume and reduces exposure to supply interruption and discharge limits. For plants in water-stressed regions, the recycled loop is often the difference between a licence to operate and a production constraint.
- Lower freshwater intake and lower effluent volume from the same system
- Hydrocarbon recovery instead of hydrocarbon loss to effluent
- Reduced exposure to supply interruption and tightening discharge limits
Specified from real data
Industrial streams are specific. Two plants in the same sector can present very different oil content, solids loading and dissolved salts. That is why pilot testing & verification comes before specification: your water is run through the process and the achievable quality is measured. The result is a system sized against evidence rather than a generic design envelope.
Delivered as modules, monitored after start-up
Modular technology allows capacity to be added in defined steps, installed inside a live plant with minimal disruption, and relocated if the operation changes. Remote monitoring then keeps the installed system visible, so drift in feed quality or performance is identified while it is still a small adjustment. Klean Water is wholly owned by Klean Industries.
Designing around variation, not averages
An average feed condition is a useful planning figure and a poor design basis. Industrial water moves with production rate, shift pattern, cleaning cycles and season, and a plant specified only for the mean will meet its duty most of the time and fail precisely when conditions are hardest. Klean Water sizes systems against the range a site genuinely experiences, including the upset conditions that matter most to compliance. Modular capacity helps: treatment can be staged so normal duty runs efficiently while additional modules absorb peak load, rather than running one oversized train inefficiently all year. The pilot programme defines that range in measured terms.
Turn your industrial effluent back into process water
Klean Water systems separate hydrocarbons, purify wastewater for in-process reuse and desalinate, all sized from pilot results on your own stream.
Modular delivery and remote monitoring keep an industrial water plant measurable through its whole life. Klean Water is wholly owned by Klean Industries.
